Prom days are busy. Between hair, makeup, pre-prom parties, and the big event itself, it’s easy to forget to pause for portraits—until one thoughtful mom reached out last-minute, knowing she wanted something more lasting than phone snapshots.
She asked if I could come to their home for a quick prom photo session with her daughter, and I’m so glad I was available.
Her prom date was already there, keeping her company, though he didn’t have his tux on yet. Still, we took a few portraits of the two of them together—and they’re some of my favorites from the day. Because sometimes, the memory is more important than perfection. He twirled her in the backyard, they laughed, and the photos captured exactly what prom should feel like: fun, special, and full of joy.
Now, this mom, her daughter, and her daughter’s date all have beautiful portraits to remember the moment.
