As a Long Island portrait and event photographer, I get to capture so many meaningful milestones for families. Recently, I had the honor of photographing a gorgeous baby shower at The Halston. The celebration was hosted by the grandmother-to-be, and every detail reflected the love and excitement surrounding the arrival of this little girl.
Before guests arrived, I photographed the stunning décor that transformed the space. The shower’s theme combined flowers, bows, and woodland animals, creating a whimsical and elegant atmosphere. A standout detail was the custom backdrop—crafted by the mom-to-be’s mother—featuring a large pink ribbon surrounded by delicate flowers. It became the perfect spot for portraits and family photos.
Throughout the day, I captured candid moments of guests mingling, laughing, and celebrating together. From heartfelt hugs to joyful conversations, these in-between moments truly told the story of the day.
One of the sweetest personal touches was the display of hand-knit gifts by the great-grandmother-to-be. Each piece, lovingly created, was a reminder of the family traditions that will be passed down to the new baby. Friends of the mom-to-be also brought playful surprises, including Taylor Swift–inspired outfits that were displayed with pride and lots of laughter.
The mom-to-be radiated happiness, enjoying every second of her celebration surrounded by family and friends. It was a joy to document such a heartfelt event, full of love, personality, and thoughtful details.
